The latest news from Naomi's world

Hello everybody,
I start to write in English again, so everybody can understand me! Expecially the next EVS-volunteer!
It's so strange to hear about a new EVS volunteer while I'm here. But it reminds me all my way to arrive here.

In Circolito is always busy and I like it at all, but also it justifies my absence!

In February we did a big weekend "CircoliTOONweekend". It was really busy, a crazy weekend, where all the les groups have to perform! It was really nice, because everybody was there and it was an opportunity to see persone that normaly are not here, in the every day life of the circus school.
It was a nice weekend also because my mum was here. She could meet everybody and see what is my project about. Now she is "de mama" for everybody!
We had other special guest! "Cie-to-pia" an international group that performed for us with their show "Interférances contrôllées".
"Cie-to-pia"

The same evening there was also 2 other shows!
ALL THE PHOTOS THAT FOLLOW ARE TAKEN BY GREET VAN HILST (:
1. "Da Stoelt". It was only a piece of it and not the full show, unfortunatly. I can't wait to see it all (: (and also with live music! SUPER!)

Raf

2. "Nog!". Also this one was an anticipation of the show, that performed a week later! With the art of circus, the guys of the circus school tryed to represent some part taken from a short story "Het land van de grote woordfabriek" (The land of the big words' factory).

One week later there was the full show of "Nog!". This performance was a project that put together dance, circus, acting and life music.

Then March began with one week holiday, in which we did a super circus' week in Vilvoorde. It's really nice always to work with different people, so you get in contact with different ways of teaching. And obviusly you start to know better people of the circus school and it's really interesting!

Now I follow the course of the weeks and I wait that my birthday arrives, to celebrate here in Belgium, in this new life!
Today, 21st of March I finished my Nederlaand course and my level is good enought to speak with the other and have conversation. From monday I will start with new projects in schools so I have the opportunity to do all the activities that are in Circolito!

For now that's all!

Un saluto a tutti (:

Naomi.

Februari, short and full!

Hello lezers,

Zo wij moet alles dingen goed organiseren.
Ik heb "wij" gezegd, omdat ik een deel van de organisatie ben (;

It's coming a truck full of........ NEWS!

Buonasera readers,
it's a lot of time without write nothing on the blog, and I'm sorry for it.
You know working in Circolito takes me a lot of time and also going naar de Nederalans les.

It took me a lot of time, but I'm quiet happy for the result. You can find all the photos hier:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7qng2kfTnYBblRNRW1aOU1jV28&usp=sharing

A lot of things happened in this month! But I try to put all the facts in order:
First of all I went to Neerpelt to "Theater op de markt". There I saw for the first time the show of Tocolosj, one of the production group of the school: really nice show!

Then I started the new level of my dutch course, now I'm in 2.1. And it works!

One Saturday, I went to Gent for an event called "GoStrage". Here there were some organization presenting their project to go abroad. I was there, with other people of different countries, to represent Italy. What does it mean? All the people that want information about live in my country, about EVS in Italy, about the culture, about University there, could come and ask me about those thing. It was really interesting also because I've meet a lot of people of different countries, not only from Europe. After that we went all together to eat something in Gent. We were such a big group, an international big group!
The same weekend, on Sunday, I went to my first circus convention! It was a pleasant experience, especially because I had the opportunity to spend time with some people of the circus school in an environment that was not the school, but doing things concerning circus (:

I spent a great Sunday morning with the production group to take photos and videos for their new promo! And the same day I did my first "Mobil initiatie" during the Science day.

The season of the Christmas market is begin (: In Italy we don't have all this stuff, so I'm happy to be here in this period! I think that you can breath a magic air and sometime it seems to be in a fairy tale. So I went to visit some Christmas market, also in Germany.

Now I'm looking forward to "24forcircus"!!! It's a special event of the circus school. The school will be open for 24h, with workshop, training, show and... eating!! OH YES! You can come, train, follow workshop and.. EAT REAL ITALIAN PASTA (: I invite you all to "LA CUCINA DI NAOMI". All the money that I will collect with this project will go to my circus organization in Italy, which deals with social circus in Turin and not only (:     But come to this event, chat with me and I will explain you all (:

24forcircus, instead, will collect money for a project in Rwanda.
But you can find all the information here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/245807005582021/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming
and here:
http://www.circolito.be/twenty4circus.html

For sure this link will explain the project better than me (:

So.. I hope to see you all at 24forcircus, the 21st-22nd of DECEMBER from 16h to 16h ((((:
Big open with a fantastic circus show of RRRUSH!!
Do you want to stay home? Com'oooooon!!!

See you there,
Naomi

A Circolito's week

And here we are (:

I write again on the Blog after a week full of event!

Donderdag I did the last part of my Dutch examination and today (vrijdag) I got the result! I'm proud of myself:  92/100.
Now the hardest part will be try to speak, but i have to start, mi devo buttare.

But this week was also important in my Circolito adventure!
On Monday I started my project. We (Mieke, Liven en me) decided to take a class picture of each group of this year, but not a normal picture, but a strange one. Come on we are in a circus school!
I decided to leave a lot of freedom to the person and they can decide what they want to do. Sometimes we give them a theme or a space and they have to think about what to do.
It's very funny and cool, also because now I have the possibility to know all the people in Circolito, and they have the possibility to know me.
I will give you some anticipation.. ENJOY (:
And try to find your self, or your friend, or your son or your daughter (:

En voilat..

Grotjes,

Naomi

Aangename kennismaking!

HELLO ALLEMAAL,

Ik kan nog niet Nederlands praten. So I will start to speak, or better write, in English (:
I want to introduce myself: I'm Naomi, the new EVS volunteer. I come from Italy... yes, I know that now you are thinking "Why did you come here, in this small country where it's always raining??" You are right, and I can not say something like "I love the rain" because it's not true... but I love chocolate and maybe for this reason I come here, in the country of chocolate (or so it's known), but it's not that the reason.

As I told you I'm an EVS volunteer..
E --> European
V--> Voluntary
S--> Service
I decided to stand as candidate  for this project in February, after nights spent reading projects and trying to find the one that most interested and involved me. I send my CV and a letter of application to Circolito. After a Skype meeting, the day of my birthday, I received the best gift ever: this e-mail

"Hi!
 I have some great news:
We have selected Naomi of our EVS-project from September.
Yihaaa!"

L'entusiasmo era alle stelle (I was so happy)!!!! And so they start to do all the papers to let me come here and begin a new life here, in Belgium.

I arrived here the 6th September and i went immediately on a weekend of the circus school, so I had the possibility to meet the most of the people that work here. It was an amazing full immersion, a bit difficult, but challenging.
So began my adventure in Circolito (:

Now I Follow dutch lesson : "het is moeilijk!!!!!!" But I really want to learn it! Although it's difficult I think that the best way to learn it, it's staying with children! They always want to communicate with me, but they can not speak English...
Sometime i really understand them and the problem is.. "e mo che gli rispondo???" ("and now what can I say to them????"); but sometime, I have to admit, they start to speak very fast and i can not understand one word!!!
..... But I can do this, just oefening, oefening, oefening. Ik kan jou met 3 balletjes leren jongleren, but I'm not able to go to the bakery and ask for the bred, ahahah

In addition to the language course I work in Circolito. I follow some classes like an assistent and some others for myself. Now we are thinking about project that i can do linked to my passions and my abilities. You will have the possibility to see something in the near future (:

The circus world is not new for me. In Italy I follow for 5 years a "social circus" project, where circus it's  a way to stay together, to create a group, to know yourself better in relationship with other in a safe environment. My association works with young people that stay in jail, in hospital, with people that have arrived in Italy not so long time ago and they can not speak Italian, but it's so beautiful to see how they can create a group, stay together, learning the art of circus, without verbal communication.
I'm trying to follow their example and many of them continue to write me, telling me not to give up, because the beginning is difficult, and they know it well because they have lived it, but the circus has solved many of the problems.

And so I'm trying to do my best, trying to express myself in another language, in another contest and start a new life from zero.. It's hard sometime, but so beautiful! I have always want to do, I always want to see what will happen the next day, I'm curious and this was the thing that I miss before!

I think that now you know me better, but stay connected to know more and more (:

"Come, come, ladies and gentlemen, it will be a spectacular year, with the best circus shows ever. We will learn how to stay in balance creating a new life trough circus!
The show start today. So come on!! There are free ticket left (: "
